Mamma Rita's is great. I dont know what the other review is all about. The stromboli is the best I have ever had. The help may be a little slow, but that is because the place is standing room only every night i have been there lately. Give this place a shot and you wont be disappointed, especially with the stromboli!!!

Authentic Italian food ... the best in Whiteville: When I'm in the mood to dine out (or if I don't want to cook and want quality take-out), Mamma Rita's is always my first choice. Simply put, Mamma Rita's is the best restaurant in Whiteville. In fact, Mamma Rita's could most likely rival any big-city Italian restaurant; the food is delicious and the service is top-notch.

Mamma Rita's is owned and operated by someone who really cares about the quality of the food they offer. The owner is a hands-on owner, in that he is actually in the restaurant each day, preparing and presenting the delicious dishes. Mamma Rita's offers pizza, stromboli, sandwiches, salads, delicious desserts, and an extensive wine and beer list (great iced tea, too!); but the centerpiece of the menu (in my opinion) is the restaurant's delicious list of authentically-prepared pasta dishes. The manicotti is my personal favorite; I order it with a request that the cook "go easy on the sauce"; the manicotti always comes to me as requested ... fresh from the oven ... accompanied by Italian bread. The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient; the server presents the food with a cheery smile.

Mamma Rita's isn't just my restaurant of choice; it's my daughter's restaurant of choice as well. From the time when she was little and more finicky (ordering plain spaghetti with a side order of meatballs) ... up to present day and her adoption of "our favorite dish" (the manicotti) ... Miranda (my daughter) has been the real *barometer test* for restaurants. Mamma Rita's passes the test with flying colors. If you ever visit Columbus County, this is one restaurant you simply don't want to miss.

best pizza in town: i love this place they have the best food in the town of whiteville and the worker are verry freindly .
