User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOur family looked forward to dining at the Sugar Shack. We have seen it from the road, but not ventured in on past trips, but that all changed this year. Thankfully we made reservations, as many people were turned away at the door, or told it would be a lengthy wait. We all three had the ribs & coconut fried shrimp combos as well as an excellent order of fried plantains as a starter. The ribs were GREAT! They are not traditional ribs (BBQ sauce or dry rub) but are "fall off the bone" wonderful. The fried shrimp were huge & the mango dipping sauce was a perfect match. The red beans & rice were a nice side, and my wife liked the fries as well. SO MUCH FOOD!!! Plenty of left overs for lunch the next day. The staff was freindly and the dining area was busy, but not overly noisy or crowded. We will be making a stop at the Sugar Shack a regular part of our OIB routine for years to come!

The ribs were so delicious you won't even believe it! I loved the sweet bread and the shrimp. My mom even loved the cole slaw!!
