Nothing but great things to say about my experience with Wilmingtin Nissan. I am new in town and had a "service engine soon" light problem with my wife's car. After researching the comments on this site I was reluctant to trust this dealership with fixing my problem. I called Larry Brown( the service mgr) and talked to him about my situation.I also explained to him what I had found on this site that I considered a bad reputation. Larry explained to me that he had made significant changes in personnel and procedure since he became affiliated with the dealership. After discussing my problem Larry shared with me some information and some things to check on my own that could possibly save me some time and money. After taking his advise I carried my vehicle to his service dept where I was treated with total respect and enjoyed the overall friendliness that I recieved from all of his staff. If I had experienced bad service I would not hesitate to voice my concerns on this site. I think right is right. When a person recieves the kind of attention and service that I did I feel the positive information needs to posted as well. I will even go so far as to say that the parts that I needed to remedy my problem were purchased from Wilmington Nissan at a much lower price than I was quoted at Advance Auto, NAPA and CarQuest Auto. After installing the parts myself Larry saw to it that I recieved a special deal as far as resetting my wife's car computer to clear error codes. So in conclusion................you may read the negative comments on this site and shy away from taking your car to Wilmington Nissan or you can do as I did and realize that times change and people change. I would highly recommend that you take your Nissan to Larry Brown and it will be an experience that you will remember for a very long time.
The salesman slime you! I left because they were so rude to me then they called me for two weeks straight after that! Also the maintenance dept is no better. We went all the way to asheboro to buy our car but had to have it fixed under warranty down here! 5 hours later they came out and told me they needed it overnight, wouldn't give me a car to drive home wanted me to go next door and rent a car! I was 7 months pregnant and extremely upset that they had left me stranded! They didn't care or even offer to drive me home because in their words I lived out of the range that the shuttle van could go! I ended up having to wait for a friend to drive from Oak Island to Wilmington to pick me up! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! DON'T GO HERE!
DO NOT GO HERE: As a recent college graduate, I finally decided to buy my first car. I shopped around and discovered that I really liked a car at the Nissan Dealership. I purchased the car and then my troubles began. It has been the worst experience of my life. They were not organized, professional, or respectful. When I tried to resolve the issues with the General Sales Manager I was flabbergasted with his blatant rudeness. I even went as far as to file an official complaint against him. I strongly suggest other dealerships before purchasing a car from Wilmington Nissan.
