had my very first raw oyster here while visiting friends in pine knoll shores! lol! sammy, the owner, personally took the time to shuck said oyster, tableside... and both he and my fiance had a good laugh watching me get it down! needless to say the rest came steamed... it was a great experience! the oysters had literally JUST come out of the water, the service was great, the ambiance was comfortable and the drinks had backbone!

My parents rented a beach rental between thanksgiving and christmas. We were looking for a place to eat. Most of the reviews for this place online were not good. The lady who handed my father the keys to the condo for the week recommended this place. Because of the reviews I walked in not expecting much. The food was great. Steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. All the seafood(except the lobster tail) were caught fresh in NC. The portions were enourmous. My wife got the steak and seafood skewers. each piece of steak(filet) and scallop were wrapped with a full piece of bacon. I got a surf and turf with both ribeye and lobstertail( both were great). I live in Virginia Beach, so I am used to two types of seafood restaurnants. 1. Very good like Steinhilbers, chicks, etc. and 2. They type that are terrible and get by because enough tourists go to them each year. It is refreshing when you find a seafood restaurant in a beach town that is a good restaurant. During the meal the new owner came and asked how everything was and you could tell that he cared what our answers were. He was nice and we talked about how he should try and get rid of the bad recommendations from the previous owner. I don't think you can do it so I felt like I should write this post for future vacationers to know where a great place to eat is.
