yeah so I went to this place to get a NC inspection and they came up with some bogus reason why my car didn't pass...and of course they tried to sell stuff and I said bull I'll take my loss (cause you still have to pay them to inspect your car even if you don't pass) and I took my car to the mechanics on base and it passed.

I am writing this review in response to the recent experience my mom had at Silance 11-19-2009. In March my mom went to Silance to purchase what she thought was 4 used LT tires for my stepdads 01' Chev Silverado 1/2 ton 2wd. She paid almost $300 dollars for used tires and went by herself. My brother was checking my stepdads truck for a vibration the other day and decided to check the air in the tires and found out that Silance had installed (1) 80psi LT Tire on the driver front and (4) 35psi Passenger Car Tires on the rest of the truck. Her receipt said 4 LT Tires mind you. My mom is by no means a mechanic or knowledgeable about vehicles. When My brother went down with my mom yesterday the guy behind the counter told her that the vibration was due to a broken belt in the passenger side front tire the 35PSI Passenger Car Tire and it would cost her $76 dollars to replace. He then told my brother that the LT Tire was rated at 80psi they didnt have to blow it up to 80psi and it was ok to drive at 35 psi. Evidently they have a 30 day warranty if they install the wrong tires you have 30 days to go back and say hey you didnt give me what I paid for. What a crock of crap. I personally reccomended this business for years to all my friends and worked for this family myself. Cooter the father would never have ripped anybody off, he was always good to me. The son runs it now and in my opinion he is only concerned about the almighty dollar not taking care of people. I warn all military and civilians to stay away from Silance, if they will do this to my mom imagine what they would do to you. BY THE WAY YOU GUYS STILL TOSSING NAILS AND SCREWS FROM THE TIRES YOU PLUG EVERYDAY OUT INTO THE FRONT LOT SO YOU CAN DRUM UP MORE BUSINESS WHEN SOMEBODY PULLS IN SO THEY GET A MYSTERIOUS FLAT. Sorry Chris and John you guys are good people. You made a big mistake putting the screws to my mom on this deal. You have lost allot of business, but hey you guys are ok a sucker is born every minute so you'll have new customers. STAY AWAY BUY NEW TIRES FROM A REPUTABLE BUSINESS.
