User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWhen me& boyfriend seen this on the site,we decide to go give it a try cause he loves crab legs so much and i had the fried shrimps but to much breading for me on the shrimps and the crabs legs was out of this world to him.he gave them a thumbs up.even though we felt out of our element the waitress name wanda put us has ease and nice the whole time.we will be back and recommend this restaurant to a lot of our friends.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Croatan Cafe is my family restaurant. John was my uncle, and as some may have heard he past away in March. It is still being ran by my family though. His son, my cousin Tony, is running it as well as teaching during the day yes we have had some problems with wait staff but we have gotten rid of the unplesent ones and have some new friendly people. The food is the same yes, and we still have AUCE crab legs on Thursday and Saturday nights, we also we AUCE shrimp on Friday nights for the people that dont like crab legs. we always have specials each day. Even though John isnt there any more its still the same. From what I have heard we maybe redecorating it but I'm not sure. But please if you have heard about our little restaurant come and try our food. You'll love it.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWent there tonight, my wife was afraid to go in because it doesn't look to friendly from the outside. The inside decor isn't fancy like you'd find in most chain restaraunts but it does have a good down-to-earth feel. The tables are cool, however, I felt like a little kid because the chairs we sat in were patio furniture lol.
We ordered the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs, which were very good. They we're $22.95 per person and were served with hush puppies, butter and choice of drink. Each plate arrived hot, and was really good. The only downfall was the smoking. Otherwise, the waitress was friendly and always offered to bring out a new plate whenever we were close to finishing.
