| About: | When our first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, NC back in 1973, a fledgling Golden Corral Corporation took a confident first step into the restaurant business. From day one, we established the tradition of friendly service, great value and fresh, tasty food. Golden Corral family-style restaurants specialize in the biggest and best buffet available anywhere. Our famous Golden Choice Buffet contains an array of hot meat options, as well as pasta, pizza, fresh vegetable choices, and a selection of carved meats at dinner and on Sundays. User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsMy husband and I were making a choice between Outback Steakhouse and Golden Corral. I had seen the ads on tv about the slow roasted sirloin and the jumbo shrimp, they looked delicious and I wanted to try them so we chose the Golden Corral. I called to find out when the roast beef and shrimp were on the buffet and was told after 4:00pm.
We arrived a little after 5:00 pm. There was no roast beef and when I inquired about it I was told "there isn't any".
When I asked about the jumbo shrimp I was told "over there" with a finger pointing to the direction. I went "over there" and there was no jumbo shrimp, just tiny shrimp.
When we were ready to leave (about an hour and fifteen minutes later), I walked back to the meat are and the roast beef had just come out. I looked where the jumbo shrimp were supposed to be but there were still no jumbo shrimp.
I was very dissapointed since I have always enjoyed going to the Golden Corral. I feel like I was fooled and taken in by the advertising. I will probably not go back again.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis place has the best Bourbon Street Chicken! And who could forget those fresh rolls they bing out to the table with those small tubs of honey butter! They have everything from sea food to steak! And a great selection of pie, cakes and ice cream!

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSteak Madness: Whenever I go into a resuraunt that has steak I always have to try it. I went into the golden corral down here thinking that I was going to be very dissappointed, but I wasn't. This establishment is one of the very few that can actually cook a steak the way that I want it, Extra Rare, and they make it taste wonderful. It's worth the trip, even if it is just for the all you can eat steak.
