    Paula's has New Bern's best Italian food. It's very popular with locals (I'm one) because we know we won't pay too much and the food is always good. Paula's always rates high or #1 in the local newspaper search for best Italian and best pizza. Portions are good and the menu gives plenty of options. Service is friendly and usually quick. Sometimes there's a wait for a table, so go early. The decor is a little on the dated side (plastic flowers, faded wall mural), but that's easy to overlook when you've got a fresh pizza in front of you.

    Outstanding pizza, some of the best in New Bern. Nice calm friendly atmosphere. Decent prices, good service (though I admit I have always ordered take out so I don't know much about the wait staff). This is definitely a diamond in the rough, I've lived in New Bern 4 years but only recently discovered Paula's Pizza hiding behind Hardee's and McDonalds. Definitely recommend this place!
