User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI was not satisfied with this bagel bakery at all. Their bagels are far over cooked and every time I feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt, I get far worse service than I expected. The owner is brash and hateful. Her workers are rude and don't listen to the customers. Every time I go there they mess up my order, as simple as it may be. I am truly disappointed in this facility and would not suggest supporting them. It doesn't seem clean to me and the food is not fresh, in the least. I would suggest to step across the street and pick up Panera instead. Even though we're supposed to support the local businesses, I honestly don't see the point if they don't listen to what the locals suggestions and change some things before they lose all of their customers.

As good as it gets. The bagels are the best I have ever tasted and I love the expansive choice of good coffees (19 available for immediate service yesterday). Breakfast is really too much to eat but the price is right - so there, and the sandwiches are great, and desserts this good are normally obtainable only in heaven. So, you don't have to die for good food if you are in Hickory.

I grew up in the Bagel capital of the world , Brooklyn NY.and was weaned on everything bagels. When we moved to NC I thought I would never have a real bagel again , then by chance we entered the Carolina Bagel Bakery Cafe. It is without hesitation that I can say that these are the best bagels ever. I travel over one hour to buy them from Bostic NC. The owner is charming and very knowledgeable , the staff dedicated and kind. even the coffee is good and don't forget the pastries baked on site , they are amazing . THIS IS THE REAL THING NOT TO BE MISSED !!!!!!!, a gift to Hickory NC.
