I took my wedding dress to them 5 days before the wedding to have it steamed/pressed. When I went to pick it up they said that when they opened the bag, they noticed a yellow spot. I KNEW it was not there when I dropped it off, but I decided not to complain, take it home, and fix the problem myself. When we began to fix the stain, we also noticed several other water marks that had been left from the steaming. I was very disappointed. I called the cleaners and told them that I thought it was very unprofessional that they did not call me when they first saw the spot. They were rude and argued with me throughout the conversation. I deserved an apology, and I did not recieve it. Talking to the owner was like talking to a brick wall! DO NOT GO HERE
After my experience with B&W Classic Cleaners, I wanted to let everyone know what a poor job they did on my Wedding dress. I specifically went to them because they alter wedding dresses; not every alteration place is willing to deal with brides and the seriousness one ONE dress. My dress needed minor alterations, including cutting the outer layer of tulle shorter. It was a very simple procedure, only cutting was required. Someone was NOT paying attention to the bottom of the dress and cut the sides HIGHER than the front and back. My under skirt was visible on the sides of the dress (you know the sides that face people during your ceremony!!). I picked up my dress a week before the wedding, and when I saw the damage, my spirit was crushed. Then the owner/seamstress began telling us that she didn't understand why the bottom of the dress was like that, she cut evenly all the way around, they even laid it on the table and.... So, she KNEW she ruined the bottom of my dress and didn't bother to call us sooner. Also, in my opinion, if you are altering someone's wedding dress, measure all the way around before you just start CUTTING. We left with the dress, after paying, because I wanted to get it home and think about a solution to fix the problem. There was no solution. We had to order an entirely NEW dress and altered it two days before the wedding! When we called the owner and told her what we had to do, she said she thought we left happy. Well, we did not. We didn't want to blow up in her face right then and there, we wanted to come up with a solution so I would have a dress to wear at my WEDDING!
After the wedding when we explained everything to her; her level of concern boiled down to one simple sentence fragment, "Ok, all right." (Which was not a response to a question, but just a dismissal of our problem.)
These people are unprofessional and in my opinion you should take your business elsewhere.
