Smithfield's Chicken N Bar-B-Q

I've been going to Atlantic Beach for many years and when we have guest I always go one night to Smithfield's Bar-B-Q and get chicken, bar-b-q and all the trimmings. Brunswick stew tops it off along with potato salad, hush puppies, slaw. Their bar-b-q chicken is out of this world..Can't go wrong with the fried chicken as children and adults love it. I also pick up banana and pecan pies for dessert. Don't forget their ice tea by the gallon...yum- just too good. I have fed up to 20 people at the time with no cooking and after a day at the beach everyone is starving...This dinner disappears fast!

The service is great even when they are crowded. You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff and my order has always been right. You can call ahead of time and all will be ready and waiting. They even help you take a large order out to your car so you won't have to make 2 trips.

It's nice to have a break from sea food, steaks and pizzas. I would spend much more going to the grocery store to provide this quantity and quality dinner for hungry family and guest and no cooking is involved. I always get more than I need as the bar-b-q is wonderful for a sandwich the next day for lunch or afternoon snack after a few hours on the beach. Just the aroma is enough to wow any hungry bunch and boy can they devour this meal in a hurry. Don't worry about calories...your at the beach. You can eat light all year and save one day for Smithfield's dinner. IT IS WORTH IT :)

We were in Morehead city for three days, and ate there twice. The chicken, and the BBQ were the best! Friendly service, and clean. I am surprised there are no more reviews for this place. We loved it!
