The best restaurant in Banner Elk!!: I absolutely loved Sorrento's Bistro. The food is incredible. The crabcakes are a must (hard to believe considereing that Banner Elk is 6 hours away from the coast but trust me!). The fried calamari is some of the best I have ever had and I have had it in many restaurants!! The mozzarella and tomato salad was fresh and so tasty. The tortelli sorrento was not to be missed, as well as the vodka pasta. Everything we ordered was so delectable. The tiramisu was melt-in-your-mouth good. I could not wait to go back...so we did the next night!! Visit Sorrento's Bistro if you are looking for authentic Italian food, a delightful atmoshpere, and a night to remember. The family-run restaurant delivers a genuinely memorable experience that is evident of the owner's passion for food, a pride in each of their recipes, and a love for entertaining each guest that walks through the restaurant's door!
