Got a $40 takeout from the new location in Valdese. Talk about over priced, mediocre food, not to mention skimpy servings! I ordered three "special entrees" recommended by the owner, not to mention two dips - guacamole and chorizo dip - and was only given one small bag of chips until I asked for more. The guacamole was nasty. It was olive green in color suggesting it had been made days before and was oxidized. I had specifically asked, before ordering, if it was fresh and made on site. I was assured it was. Guess folds in Valdese don't know good Mexican food. Those of us in Raleigh do.

I have not eaten at this location but I have eaten at the one in Valdese a few times and the food is very tasty, the service is wonderful, and the staff is friendly. I was raised in Texas so mexican food holds a place in my heart. I usually eat at El Paso in Morganton but if I want something closer to the house here in Valdese then I hop right over to Habaneros. Good food, good prices. My only problem is the enchilada sauce. It is a little runny and not as spicy as I am accustomed to. El Paso is more like what I was raised on in Texas but Habaneros is just about as good except for the enchilada sauce. Great now I am hungry and since it is raining I think I will stay in town and get some Habaneros right now!
