    We have heard about Mike's for many years, and finally decided to give it a try after hearing good things. We went on Saturday, June 7, 2008 for dinner. My wife ordered the char-grilled shrimp and said they were good, however for about $10, she only got 6 shrimp. I ordered the calabash shrimp because the menu said they were lightly battered and fried. When they arrived, the batter was extremely heavy, greasy and overcooked. I couldn't taste any shrimp, only very hard crunchy grease. Very disappointing. The baked potatoes were fine, the slaw was good, the service was fair. The prices are high, especially for the quality of the food. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. After hearing such good things for so many years, I wonder if they now have new owners.

    A nice enough place with friendly service, reasonable prices and ok food.
    Better than a Captain D's but not up to a Red Lobster.

    Wow!: Mike's is always a treat. The shrimp cocktails are excellent. The owners seem to take a great deal of pride in the quality of food and great service. I've always been pleased with the quality of food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Definitely a 5 star restaurant. Wish I could get there more often.
