This is the place for fine dining in Hickory. Both the food and the service are excellent and the ambiance is romantic and elegant. Portions are generous. The cesar salad was delicate. The dressing did not dominate the plate as frequently is the case. My wife had the tiger shrimp with grits which contained an ample number of large shrimp. My New York strip was as tender as one could expect and cooked perfectly. The signature dessert was large enough to share and is recommended. The only disappointment had nothing to do with the food or service. The front room in which we were seated appeared worn. The cloth covered chairs needed cleaning and the carpet was stained and dingy looking. The front windows needed attention. Over all, however, a very good dining experience. The price of the meal was comparable with other good restaurants. Our second visit. Recommended.

This has to be my favorite restaurant! The staff is super friendly, the place is beautiful, and the food is to die for. Actually, I'm going back again tonight! Great place for special occasions.

We had an excellent dinner at a dear friend's wedding reception last night. The service was slow, but considering the number of people being served, it was worth the wait. We had the salmon that was to die for. Would love to have a recipe to make it at home.
