User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest place in NC to eat!: Wonderful food, excellent home town service. Great value as far as price, portion, taste, and quality goes. I've never had a better burger. Oh, and you can have whatever you want, no matter what time of the day, so if you wanna wait and eat breakfast at 2p, they'll make it for you!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starseverything there is cooked right before your eyes: it is definetly the best old school restrant that i have ever been to. let me give you an example about the fabulous country ham breakfast plate. let me tell you that they don't hold back on any ham. the ham is very thick and big. i've been to shoney's,omlet shoppe,daryl evans,and everywhere else thier is a resterant. i garenttee you that wherever you go, you will not find a restrant in the 5 county area in or out of catawba county. i just want to say in the day and age of buffet meals. you don't even think about if you will be full or not you think about how good the food is compared to most you go to and the serving size of food that you recieve from claremont cafe. if i could afford to eat there everyday i most certainly would not just because the food is good but i would eaet there because janey and her brother and nices and nephews make things so mello and nice. you know every once in a while it is good to acknoledge when there is a place in this day and time that still gives a hoot about peple in genral no matter who you are or what background you come from you are still well recieved and smiled at. my name is darrell pegram an african american male who grew up in that little clamont cafe where the food is oh so very good.i am 48 and well traveled and if you haven't eaten at claremont cafe well all i can say is that you are missing out on some of the best eatting that you have ever had trust on this one.
