Dr. Stacey Jones and her staff are amazing! They treat each animal as if it were their own personal pet. I took my dog in for shots and he was running a bit of a temperature. Dr. Jones suggested that I bring him back in a couple of days so his temperature could go back to normal. She did not even charge for the visit even though I took up at least 15 minutes of her time. I had been taking my numerous cats and dogs to Burnsville Vet but became dissatisfied when one of my cats brought me a baby wild rabbit. I called the Burnsville Vet to see if they would take it and they told me to bring it in. I did and when the Vet saw that the rabbit's back leg was broken, refused to take it and then wanted to charge me for the visit! I found a kind soul, knowledgeable about rabbits and she took it in. Burnsville Vet. had diagnosed one of my cats with skin cancer. I called Burnsville Vet to talk to the Dr. and left a message to please call me because I had some questions about my cat. After having taken at least 6 dogs and 20 cats to Burnsville Vet.it took him over 3 days to get back in touch with me! I decided to look for another vet. I called Cane River Vet, having never gone there, to discuss my cat with skin cancer. To my surprise I was talking directly to Dr. Jones and she answered all of my questions. Dr. Jones and her staff are caring, generous, selfless people. EVERYDAY I am so grateful that she and her staff are here in Burnsville and not only take care of my pets but are so senstive and patient with my numerous questions. She has state-of-the-art equipment but doesn't use it unless it is necessary. Her prices are great, service amazing (no over booking), and she is so knowledgeable! I only wish that she would get medically certified for humans so I could see her for my own medical needs!
Burnsville may be a small town but the Cane River Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Stacy Jones are at the top of my list when it comes to the care of my animals. Dr. Jones and her staff are not only up to date with the latest technology but their gentle concern for both animals and their humans is superior.
A Loving Pet Vet: When I was about 18, Morrison had just started practicing in Yancey County. I took a tiny little puppy to him, who had heart worms. All of the others in this litter had died already and I really wanted to save this one. He really tried desperately to save this little guy... even doing a blood transfusion. The puppy died anyway, but I was always respectful of the fact that this vet had really tried to save my pet even though it was almost a lost cause to begin with. I've dealt with him on a regular basis over the years, with different animals... and, He's always been GREAT in the way of Vet services. Thanks ... Dr. Morrison. Your talent for caring for pets is truly appreciated.

As of yesterday, I have entrusted Staci Jones (Morrison's Animal Clinic changed to Cane River Vet Service) with the care of my beloved pet while I'm away training to be a truck driver for the next couple of months. I really MISS my baby already and hope he will be comforted by those who work at the clinic. This is actually the first time I've been away from him since he was born. He is going to have his shots, shampoo and grooming during his stay - hopefully this will help him to be more comfortable during the time I'm away from him. After I finish training, he's going on the road with me. I hope he has a good stay with the vet, though ~ and, hopefully, won't miss me as much as I already miss him. I'll update later to let you know if he enjoys being a Trucking Dog!
