the best food in town , small town but big on food
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSo glad I grew up here. Only Clyde has it.: Being a construction worker, I have eaten in A LOT of restaurants. I cannot wait to get back to some REAL cooking. It reminds me of the way mama cooked. The food is GOOOOODDD! Yes, it is small and the parking is terrible, but it's worth the trouble. The "hole in the wall" type place that my wife and I go to when we get the chance. As far as I am concerned, you can keep your steak & seafood houses. I mean they are alright now and then, but if you want some stick to your ribs food w/ good service (ask for Connie or June) and conversation (talk to Lisa, if you can keep up w/ her) and a price thats well worth what you get, come on down to Clyde, pull up a stool and start off w/ a cup of coffee, lite up a smoke. You will be coming back. Dean knows what he's doing. (A word of caution, stay away from the hashbrowns. My mama couldn't cook them either.) Get the fish special in your mouth on Friday, and just try to call me a liar. Most all of their desserts are homemade. Beat that w/ a stick. Just don't come thru Clyde like a maniac, YOU WILL BE STOOPED FOR SPEEDING!
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsCountry Dining: Sherrill's in Clyde is a wonderful little place to eat. Country style cooking well worth the affordable prices. It's a bit small and the parking is terrible along with the hours. It closes early so I don't get there a lot, but I do enjoy it when I can make it before the lights go out. Their fries are a MUST!
