Last year when we ate there we had our order taken and a man and his wife came in behind us and they sat there for 15 minutes and noone ever took their order. they got up and as they were leaving he told the waitress they had good food but their service was lousy. If it's crowded it will take awhile to eat but that should be expected. The price is reasonable for what you get. Ate there early in October and the service was good this time.

The food is just like I used to get when I was a kid at my Grandma's. The food is great and the portions are huge! My favorite is the Country Fried Steak & gravy with a side of Fried Green Tomatoes. Don't forget to save room for the homemade cobbler & ice cream. We stop by everytime we can. I wish they had one closer to Newton.

The food is pretty good, but the service is sub par at best. The portions could be a little larger and they definitely need to hire more help. It feels to me that if you aren't a regular, they treat you with a certain disrespect. It isn't a bad place to eat, there are just better alternatives.
