Bay Breeze has changed its menu: The menu is now less like a fish camp and more like a first-class seafood house. The average price has increased somewhat, but the portions you get are almost unfinishable. Atmosphere isn't great, especially when there's a drunken fool at the next table boasting loudly about making half a million dollars when he sold his house in Marathon, Fla. (anywhere else but Hooterville, he'd have been mugged on his way out the door). But the food certainly makes up for it. Alcohol is now on the menu as well, if you like a beer or a glass of wine with your crab legs and lobster.

It's fast service & fried: The service and atmosphere are great. But if your taste for frozen fried fish, frozen french fries, frozen fried hush puppies and every thing else fried. Go for it ! Because these isn't a single fresh fish item on the menu.

Excellent seafood!: We visit Hendersonville twice a year from Florida and the Bay Breeze is one of our favorite restaurants. The prices are reasonable, the portions are very large and the waitresses have always been excellent. My personal recommendation is the fried jumbo shrimp - bigger and better than we get down here! I also like the hush puppies shaped like onion rings. Although the place is large, get there early on weekends to avoid a wait...
