User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAhhh, just ate at Cafe Rel and still relishing the taste. Has anyone been to Paris and eaten at an outdoor cafe? I have eaten at several, some are frequented by working people and are very busy with excellent service albeit no nonsense, others are serving tourists and are also busy with excellent service. All have excellent food and service. The caliber of service in Europe is unlike what we have in the USA. Sadly, we Americans settle for much less in service. Cafe Rel is a delightful little touch of France right here in Franklin NC. Cafe Rel is all about the food which is excellent, and the staff is admirably efficient. I heartily recommend Cafe Rel as a different cultural experience and a lovely gastronomic delight.

This place was incredible! I went for a week's vacation to visit my folks and they took me to lunch. We ended up eating there for 3 meals, the rest at home. It was charming, the food was excellent and would love to go back again. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through or vacationing there.

The food was ok,but the service was awful! The owner was rude and asked our table of 6 to please hurry up he needed the table!!!I will never go back!

I think it's about time that DN get a grip and if she is not happy with REL, so be it, but we have enjoyed REL for 3 years now and have never had a bad meal or experience there. My son who is a world traveler commented that he never thought he would find such fine dining in such a small town. I feel it is unfair to keep such a negative rewiew on the net for so long(months now) when, clearly , DN is very much a minority opinin, me think there may be more to the story than she writes...there is usually a waiting line to dine there, and perhaps she and her party were taking up space for much too long instead of being polite and moving on..
