My pulled pork BBQ was below average and not served hot. The beans were not very tasty. The slaw was good. The hushpuppies were good, but not great. My wife had the pork ribs; they tasted like Lloyds ribs from the grocery store. We gave her leftovers to the dog. She enjoyed the potato salad.
Very good service, great barbecue, and excellent sauce! I highly recommend this place! The sweet tea with lemon is great also!
Though it is about 60 miles from my home, I travel to this little place about once every month for the BBQ. North Carolina is known for it's BBQ mainly in the Lexington area, but to be honest with you... I don't care for the vinegar style BBQ. Little Pigs is It is eaxtly the same as Lil Pigs resturant in Myrtle Beach, thought both locations say they don't know of the other, It is also VERY similar to the "Georgia Pig BBQ" resturant in Ft. Lauderdale Florida if anyone knows of that little spot. All three restuarants have identical ketchup based BBQ sauce. Lil Pigs of Asheville does have something the others do not and that is "Broasted" chicken. I am not sure how they prepare it but it is DELICIOUS!!!
I LOVE eating good BBQ and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed if you eat there.

I used to save my lunch money every day just so I could stop on my way home to get a jumbo bbq sandwich. The owner Mr.Swicegood, would have one waiting for me.This was back in 1960`s,my father would stop by there before going on business trips and get a bucket of broasted chicken.! Ah the good old days.Every time we visit Asheville,we stop for BBQ and chicken.mmm good.
