The food was very good. I had salmon and my husband had the lamb-both were very good. I also had crab fritters for appetizer (a crab cake with a lemon twist) that was great and a nice twist to the ordinary crab cake. The yellow cake martini and ale martini were ok. The Riesling wine was very good. Music was a little loud and difficult to hear the person across from you; however, they played a nice variety. Also the tables were pretty close together. It is a little expensive but overall ambiance of the restaurant was good and romantic.
Worst restaurant in Asheville: What a disappointment! We had heard how great Savoy was and were very disapppointed. It took our server 15 minutes to come to our table. We ordered a bottle of wine and she just sat the bottle on the table. We had to serve ourselves. I ordered Tuna rare. After about an hour, our food arrived. The tuna was way overcooked and was terrible. My husband's food was not much better. We could never contact our server to let her know since she never came back to our table. We were finally given the check and waited another 40 minutes for someone to take it so we could leave. Since no one ever came to take it, I went to the bar and paid. Later I emailed the owner regarding our experience and he was not very apologetic and offered us a free desert. Needless to say, we have not gone back for the desert or anything else nor will we.
Great restaurant-: Excellent quality, limited choices, very fresh, great service, expensive
