We had experienced this location once before and were satisfied with the work, but not so satisfied with the service; but we decided to give it another chance. We visited on June 24,2009 to have brake service. We entered the door and were not acknowledged as customers; we waited to be acknowledged as the servicemen loudly discussed an issue on a computer. We watched other customers that entered receive a better greeting and faster service. Once we were finally acknowledged, we made arrangements for service. We received the call to discuss price for the desired service and informed the serviceman of a coupon we intended to use; the coupon read for $99, however we were told that we could not receive the type parts to redeem the coupon at that price and that we could get the service for $109. Curiously, we accepted. Then we received the call that the work was complete so we returned to pick up the vehicle. Once we entered the door, again, we waited to be unsatisfactorily acknowledged as customers. At this point I'm seeking contact information for customer service. Then the serviceman tells us our ticket price is over $150. We asked why and he says simply that it's what's on the ticket. Of course we now wanted to see the man who wrote up the service ticket, and he was unavailable. Then the serviceman decides, after we explained our position, that he would explain that we were being charged for a "better" warranty on the brakes. We responded telling him we did not ask for that and please remove that charge. Anyway, although the work that was done seems to be okay, we'd rather pay for work that includes better customer service. After all anyone can do the work, but good business comes with great customer service, regardless of race or gender! Therefore, I would suggest that Danny Bagwell, manager at this Tire Kingdom location, and his team receive training and/or coaching in true customer service and service recovery if you want return customers or any new ones. Please keep in mind that word-of-mouth advertisement is very effective, whether it's positive or negative.
