Our family loves to go to Elie's. The place is like eating at a friend's house in the Elie greets the customers and tries to please. The downside is that sometimes when busy, just like it would be at your friend's house if a bunch of people showed up, the speed of service can be iffy. The food is always great and after having been there many times over the five years we have been in the area, I can say that the positive experiences far outweigh any issued with service. We also like to take advantage of the goodies that are available for sale. I love the flavor of the olive oil and the kalamata olives.

Elie's Meditterranean is a wonderful place to dine. The restaurant is in a small, converted house and the atmosphere is cosy. It's what I would imagine the cafes in Lebanon to be like (when it's full it can get somewhat noisy but it's like everyone is friends and all there having a great time.

The staff is great and very attentive. The food is....oh, my goodness! I've eaten at several other middle eastern or mediterranean establishments in town and I keep coming back to Elie's because of the quality and variety of the food. He has the most extensive menu I've ever seen. Everything is freshly prepared. The salads are delicious and if you're new to this type of cuisine then I would suggest trying the Tour of Lebanon (can be tailored to serve 2-8 people). It's great for a group to get to sample a variety of different items. I've tried the shrimp kabob, filet kabab and the lamb kabob and been consistantly pleased with the flavor and quality of meat. Homemade hummus & baba ganouj (sp?) are delicious. Tabouli salad is excellant. And the fresh brewed mint ice tea (this is the only place I know where you can get it and get it unsweetened if you need to). It is so refreshing!

I hope that those reading my review will consider visiting Elie's. They are open for lunch as well.

Elie's is an authentic middle eastern restaurant that you just don't want to miss. It is located in a small house that has been converted in a cute little middle eastern restaurant with a special Lebanese flair. Elie, the owner and chef, knows his culinary arts well! I've been eating Middle Eastern foods all up and down the Eastern seaboard and no one can touch his delicacies. I've eaten at every single Middle Eastern restaurant in town and once you've eaten at Elie's there is no way you will go to any other middle eastern restaurant!!!

He uses Basmati rice, a wonderful nutty-tasting, long-grain, fluffy rice that just melts in your mouth. His lamb is so tender you don't need a knife and his shrimp is my favorite. He makes a special Ginger sauce that he wouldn't give even his own flesh the recipe and I always make sure I get a good extra helping of that liquid gold.

He serves the favorites of hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel, grape leaves, shish kabob, numerous salads and appetizer plates. But the most exciting entree he serves is something called Tour of Lebanon (for 2 to 8 people) which is a huge platter filled with Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Falafel, Grape Leaves, Pickled turnips, feta cheese, olives, basmati rice and your choice of meat skewer (lamb, beef filet, chicken, kufta or shrimp) and a delicious mediterranean salad with feta and pita chips on the side all for $13.95 a person! You MUST go and take the tour.

Elie has this delicious mint iced tea that is so refreshing, especially in the summer time heat. I always make sure to take a huge cup to go. Nothing beats it! He does serve beer and wine also.

Elie also makes his very own desserts from scratch. He usually has Baklava, Nemoora (dense buttery thin cake with simple syrup poured over), and numerous cakes or goodies he has simply dreamed up and prepared. He loves to make new sweets off the top of his head and they are always incredible. So the dessert menu can change daily.

He has a great lunch menu which consists of salads and sandwiches made with pita and fresh meats and veggies, and of course the appetizers.

I highly encourage you to take a short trip over to St. Andrews road and experience Elie's. You will not be sorry!!!!
