User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best of SC. When we lived in Columbia it was our favorite restaurant by far. Now in MI we order the sauce online. Anytime we are traveling through the south we will detour just to taste their pork bbq, hash, and sweet potato pie!! Yummy!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWe were so disappointed in our last visit to Maurices Buffet. The vegetables were all OLD and the buffet bar didn't even have ribs. Fried Chicken was miserable (also reheated) The manager came by to ask "How Was Everything?" I asked about why the vegetables were reheated leftovers and he responded that they were cooked fresh daily. They aren't fooling anybody but themselves if they intend to serve leftovers. I also tried a Maurices BBQ sandwich for lunch recently. The sandwich and drink cost me over $8 and I still left hungry. Skimpy portion of meat and Way Overpriced. We'll probably never go back there again. Little Pig BBQ is superior in EVERY way.

this is called bbq?: Travelling from TX thru SC, saw sign that said Maurice's was voted #1 in SC (by whom??) so I gave it a try. I should have known better when I walked in, have to order and pay at cash register before you get your food, there is a sign saying "no refunds"...what was called bbq was swimming in a yellow sauce and could have been purchased at Sam's Club and reheated, sides also had a Sam's Club type presentation and flavor. I was extremely disappointed. I don't know who voted it #1 but they ought to get out of the voting business and Marice should retire.
