It's really sad to see the situation Northeast is in now. I was the second graduating class. I remember when the school first opened in the fall year of 1978. I was a junior and we started school late like around September 11 1978, pretty ironic..huh? Some of the buildings were not completed so classes had to meet in an odd place...like the flag pole. We had to go to school for a half day on a Saturday to make up from starting school so late....now I hear things about the repuatation and the marching band isn't what it used to be anymore and it is so disappointing. I do hear however the teachers are still great. There are still some there that were my teachers....I would like to go back someday and just walk down the hallways so all the memories can come flooding back.....Class of 1980...Go Cavaliers!!
It is a nice school ... my parents, aunt, and uncles went there. Nice teachers and administrators. The thing the school lacks of is newer and cleaner restrooms, new lockers, a bigger football area for the team to practice .. but overall it is ok. But still a bad rep though but they do have good students though .
RNE is a good school but it does have a bad reputation. The teachers seem to be cool and the kids are mostly black therefor they mostly are cool!!!

The band isn't the way it used to be because it was very small a few years back, so there really wasn't a need to enter competitions. This year was a very trying year, we started late causing us to not look our best. We started late because we have a new band director, and everything just wasn't in order, but this year should be a lot better compared to previous years
