User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsPLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!! A-1 is THE worst automobile repair shop you can go to. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!!
I had to get transmission work on my car and was quoted a decent estimate..well, the overall price after them conveniently finding NEW problems (battery, torque converter, etc) was well over what was quoted... hundreds of dollars more in fact. This estimate was done AFTER they looked at the car, mind you. They are extremely deceitful. They lie to cover themselves and don't value you as a customer. Seeking honest service? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
It took over 2 weeks to fix my car. During that time, my calls were hardly ever returned and the condescending tone used when I did speak with someone was utterly reprehensible.
Since I was not at all satisfied with their serivce, I asked for they corporate or customer service # to leave my comments. I was told that it is not given to customers and "if I had something to say, I should say it to their faces"!?
CHARLES RAYNOR handled my repairs and is THE worst service representative I have met in many years and I would NEVER do business nor recommend ANYONE to A-1...EVER.
BTW, I was reluctant to even give them ONE star. I wish we had some kind of NEGATIVE rating here because they are BEYOND "awful".
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsA-1 Engine City is a the worst.: Charles did diagnostics on my car engine, than called with an estimate to replace my engine. I called for weeks to check on repairs and left messages. No one returned my calls. Than when Charles called he stated he had to make several other repairs including a starter, transmission, motor mounts, o2 sensors, oil, filters, core charge of $600, etc.. The final price went from $3800 to $6000 . He is rude and condescending. He states he can't trust any one and he is always receiving stupid customers that don't want to pay for the repairs. I would have gladly paid for the cost if he would have informed me of the needed repairs and give me an option of rather I wanted him to repair them and when.
