    Wonderful Fried Chicken

I decided to use Ms. Martha Lou's Restaurant to fry chicken for my family reunion in early August and needless to say, I was a little apprehensive about using someone I did not know to undertake this very important task. However, after reading the reviews and talking with some who visited her restaurant, I decided to give her a try and I am sooooo glad that I did. The family LOVED her fried chicken. The taste was like "harmony to my taste buds".

Don't let the exterior of her restaurant fool you...the chicken is WONDERFUL and Ms. Martha Lou is so nice.

When I am in the area again, I will make sure that I visit her restaurant. On behalf of my family, Ms. Martha Lou, thank you for a job well done.

As like I used reviews to help me make my decision about Ms. Martha Lou's Kitchen, I hope this review provides her with her next big catering project.

You'll be happy that you decided to use her.

Don't let the exterior fool you - this food is better than Paula Deen's. The fried chicken and vegetables were perfectly seasoned and arrived fresh and piping hot. This is comfort food with the feel of being back in Grandma's kitchen. Well worth the drive off the beaten Charleston path - an enthusiastic five stars!

It's a hefty walk from historic downtown Charleston, but worth the trip for a "real" experience. Look for the pink building with a sad fish painted on it. Inside is a cozy atmosphere, friendly service and the best cornbread I have ever had. Also terrific fried chicken, and really really really sweet tea. Don't let anyone discourage you from going because it's in a funky area!! Full meal is about 8 - 9 dollars.
