| About: | Open for dinner only, this popular Northern Italian restaurant has been in the same location since 1978. Patrons can dine outside in the charming courtyard, casual first floor dining room with tiny lights and checkered table cloths, or upstairs overlooking the Old City Market across the street. The menu changes seasonally with emphasis on freshly caught seafood. User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best crispy flounder or chicken parmesan!: Garibaldi's is a long time resident of the Charleston area. Situated in the heart of the downtown market, it's location is easy to find, it's food is hard to miss. My husband's favorite is the crispy flounder, the best in the lowcountry. My favorite is the chicken parmesan. This is an upscale dining experience whose only flaw is that they have too many people trying to eat and not enough space. There is a time a place for chain dining such as Carraba's, etc. but if you want delicious italian with a lowcountry influence, you will find it here!

The crispy flounder is just wondrous! My father being part of the company for twenty or so years now, allows me to try all of the food, and I highly recommend this restaurant. My personal favorite entree here, is the Veal Marsala.
