About:California Dreaming is situated at the mouth of the Ashley River, and therefore patrons can enjoy a dazzling view of the water as they dine on thick slabs of prime rib or the catch of the day. The building itself is designed to resemble a fort from the Civil War era, made out of brick with ceiling-high, arched windows. The fact that every single table has an excellent view of the Charleston Harbor keeps people coming back, as well as the delicious food.     Absolutely delicious! Great food my friends and I try to go at least once a month. A little pricey but more than worth it.

    We loved this restaurant on a recent trip to Charleston. Made a reservation that afternoon for dinner - seated immediately. I had the daily special and my spouse had the pasta and shrimp. The house salad was wonderful, as was the onion loaf when we shared it. Would recommend again. A little pricey, but the view we had was worth it.
