User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI have been traveling to Charleston/Spoleto for 6 years now. My stay at Doubletree was the worst. They lost our luggage, valet was incredbly slow (and yes we tipped well). The front desk was rude. And the room was uncomfortable. I will not ever stay there again. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its wonderful location.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHad a wonderful stay: My friends and I sort of stumbled on this hotel after trying to book a few other hotels downtown. The hotel lobby was beautiful and the staff were wonderful. The rooms are very nice, with comfortable big beds.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat Location: Only a few steps from the market, you can see the carriage rides from this hotel. You can't get a better location plus most rooms here are suites. Have stayed here a number of times and have not been disappointed. The only drawback is the cost for parking - I recommend spending extra for the valet parking (their garage does not have elevators which can be challenging with luggage) or park in the daily lot across the street (not affiliated with the hotel).
