It was disrespectful: We went one night for the first time and at closing time the waiter got mad because we did not give him the tip he wanted. So he approached us and embarrassed us in front of our guests. First off we don't tip the first time we go to a place we first like to check it out and then become regulars, then we start to tip. But that was really embarrassing and rude. I thought tips were only if you wanted to, not to pay them to do their job. But if I am wrong and you have to tip then why not add it just like they do taxes. I never found out how much of a tip this person wanted.

Not to say that the waiter should ever do what they did, but you deserve to be embarrassed. As a former waiter I wanted to do that so many times to people like yourself but out of respect for myself and my work place I never did. A waiter works on tips always has and always will. Did you know that they make about $2.00 an hour plus tips. A good waiter should go home with alot better than $2 and hour so don't feel sorry for them. Now if you in Canada and India tiping is included but then you got problems like bad service because they're going to make the same money no matter how bad or good their service is. An example is fast food, when is the last time you got good service from Burger King. 15 to 20% of your bill is customary and if you continue to go to the same place and tip like crap or not tip at all, you'll start to notice service sucks. It's you not them. Go take an etiquette lesson or two before you "check out" another resturant. Until then stay with fast food.
Good Call Josh!
