    Try to pin them down on what it will cost. I couldn't. I went in with a warning light problem (car drove fine). They told me it would be about $650. I let them know ahead of time that I didn't want to put much money into the car. After pulling my transmission, they said it would be $1153. I then asked how much to reinstall transmission. Answer: about $800. I regretfully had them do it. As far as I know, the work was OK. I feel really misled for a quite common problem they were aware of.
