Acme Cantina

I visit IOP about 2 times a year and always eat at ACME. The food is really good - not great. The service is good not great. But ACME has and remains a family favorite. Very diverse menu and resonably priced.

The below review must be a hoax. ACME Cantina is one of the friendliest and most hospitable restaurants on the island. All of our employees are top notch and always concerned about the customers needs and their expectations, all of which we strive to meet. ACME boasts some of the cheapest happy hour wings in Charleston, and the only place for shrimp and grits as far as the locals are concerned. We have many great beers on tap and top shelf liquors; Jules's Margarita is a house specialty. Don’t' take my word for it though, or anyone else’s for that matter, come in and experience it all for yourself. ACME Cantina - A Sunny Place, For Shady People...

when i used to live on the isle of palms, i was a steady customer of acme cantina. as time went on, i found the staff to be rude as far as serving me. the food at first was good, i'm a wing eater, so i went mainly for that, but on occasion i would have other things. things started going downhill with the wings, they were not cooked well and several times had to reorder. i can't eat raw wings. i have had cold soup, flat soda, cold environment in the winter. the servers changed over and things got worse. the manager won't listen to anyone who has a complaint and i had several. i use to have to get up to get napkins, hot sauce, etc. because they would not check to see if you were ok. of couse this happened with a few people i had gone in there with. they expect very large tips and get insulted when you don't meet their expectations. i found that if i had a drink of wine or something, i would get more attention because it loaded their bar tab. but i've coke most of the time and i could definately tell the difference it made in their attitudes. i just will not go back in there again. who needs to be mistreated like that. i've always left good tips and now it's not good enough, so like i say, will not recommend acme cantina to anyone. there are other places for wings with nice servers and they are more attentive to the customer. so why should i ever go back in there?
