Highlight of my vacation: We went looking for southern cooking, we found it. So much better then the normal fast food or chain food. A step back into time. Food excellent. Staff wonderful a must in a southern vacation!!

A Trip Back in Time with a Modern Flair: Thomas's Cafe is a trip back in time to the days when every Southern downtown had an eatery that served breakfast and lunch to the locals. But the food here is a far cry from the typical lunch counter fare my parents would have been served. The quality of the food is superb at both meals. Breakfast is traditional Southern fare served in generous portions. The lunch menu has standard offerings and daily specials depending on what is in season. Everything is freshly prepared and of excellent quality. Portions are generous. Thomas's is close to great antique shopping and to the docks of Georgetown. Plenty of comfort food for those cooler days, and lots of light foods for warmer summer days
