I had horrible service..You want to feel inportant when you go to a bridal shop instead i felt like i was bothering them. Jean was nice but the other lady was so rude and ignored me, when i needed help most...why make an appointment when your getting ignored. A bride ended up helping me decide on a dress, because my lady was chatting in the corner with someone. I just want to say I stood there in my dress feeling so unimportant.
The alterations cost over half the price of the dress and then it still didnt fit after four times. My alteration lady back in my home town said she couldnt fix my dress because they altered it in the wrong spot... There was no material left... SO My wedding day i had hold my dress up the whole time or i would be flashing everyone. I had a warning because the bride who helped choose my dress was back for a third time and her dress still didnt fit...
I was so excited about going to Jeans to try on wedding dresses. When I first moved down to Charleston and I saw Jeans, I was amazed at how large the store looked from outside. Therefore, they were the first store I booked an appointment with. The whole time I was there I felt like a number, not a person, nor a bride. The lady that assisted us was more worried about the other Brides. There were two other brides trying on dresses and the whole time they received all the service and attention from the clerks. I felt like myself, my mom and my bridesmaid were judged the whole time we were there and their service was horrible. I had the dresses picked out I wanted to try on way before anyone came to assist. After I had finally found one dress I was interested in and I had the information I went downstairs to look at other wedding products, and the clerk stood by our side and watched us like a hawk. The store is horrible, if you want to feel like a bride, do not go to this store, go to Bridal House of Charleston down the road, their service will blow Jeans away!
PROS: Jean herself is nice, and the shop has a decent selection for being a local business.
CONS: The other people who work at the shop are not helpful and are sometimes rude. The alterations were much more that what the shop estimated they would be. The garment bag in which my dress came had a giant hole in the bottom. And the WORST: I live 4 hours away and could not come back to the store to try the dress on after slight adjustments were made at a second fitting (my family lives in the area and picked up the dress for me and brought it to the wedding location). When I tried the dress on the night before the wedding, the hook that was supposed to be at the top of the zipper on the back side of the (strapless) dress was not there...there was no time to fix it. When we called the shop later to tell them of this, the salesperson responded that we must have not seen the hook! Trust me, I had about 5 different people look for it, and the hook was not there! If you make a mistake, at least admit it. The sum of this review is: POOR SERVICE!!

Our experience (my daughter was getting married) was totally awesome at Jean's. Monica helped us, and she was an angel, not pushy, just helped us find exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend Jean's anyday above any other brial shop in the area. We were able to get everything we needed for our bride there. They exceeded our expectations!! Way to go Jean's!!
