Nice authentic German atmosphere. There was live accordian music for entertainment the night I went there, but there was not singer. The saurkraut and fried potatoes were excellent. The other three people in my party and they were pleased with their meal. I tried ordering stuffed cabbage which was their special of the day for Tuesday. They said they did not have enough time to make the stuffed cabbage, but had stuffed Pork Chops. I happen to notice that it was their special from the day before. When I received it, It was obvious that this was warmed up from the previous day. The top of the pork chop had a hard crusty layer that was about 3/8" thick. It was not eatable. The waitress was apologetic, and brought me something else, but I think this was unforgivable to serve left over food at a restaurant.

    Absolutley LOVED this place!!!

We stumbled upon this locale by watching the Horst Gasthaus commercial on the public access TV station. We are so glad we did!!! The food is excellent, with a wide variety of menu options. All six of us enjoyed every bit of our meal. The service was friendly and the atosphere made you feel as if you were actually in Germany. The oom pah music and accordian only added to the ambiance. Great place, with outstanding food, and guaranteed fun evening!!!

We recently celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Horst Gasthaus. The food was excellent , as always, and the service was very good. However, we were very disappointed with the music, which was advertised as polka music, but was mostly children's songs!! There were several children in the restaurant and the entertainment was all for them. Not what we had in mind for our romantic evening!
