I went here the first weekend in February with one of my dearest friends who suggested this place to me. Went back with my family the first weekend in March 2012. I have In-Laws who live in Myrtle so I am there quite often. And as anyone knows In-Laws can make Out-Laws out of everyone, therefore we often stay in hotels when we come down.
The place is great! The rates are way above reasonable for the rooms considering you are RIGHT ON the beach. The rooms are very well maintained, clean, roomy, and beautiful. There is a kitchenette in the rooms so if you wish to bring your own food and cook, to save a little money. Only down side is there are no dishwashers so you have to do your dishes by hand. But there is a very nice restaurant which serves breakfast (and a breakfast buffet on the weekend) and several local places who deliver.
With 11 to 15 pools, (even a pirate ship pool for the kids to play in) including an AWESOME indoor lazy pool, (best lazy pool I think) a bowling alley, and very nice weight room, there is loads to do for the entire family right in the hotel! But if you like to go out you are only minutes away from everything Myrtle Beach has to offer as well. And they give you a packet of great deals and ideas to go see and do while you are in Myrtle!
The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the area, and is incredibly friendly as well as discreet. (In case you wish to surprise that special someone.) They really do treat you like a Captain. So come on down and check it out… I hope to see you on the beach!
It's not the best place in the world, but it is clean and a cheap place to stay at the beach and within walking distance of family kingdom which is nice for the kids. The bowling alley the kids love as well as the arcade. What do you really expect from motels in myrtle beach? How much time do you really spend in the room??? I get a kick out of folks on here complaining about no internet or internet sux, rooms are outdated and such...come on people. You sleep in the room, we usually get in the room around 11 after our nightly family kingdom visit with a 5 and 2 year old..get up and gone by 9 or 10 to the beach, come back get lunch, back to the beach til about 3 and then out to try and beat the dinner crowds by eating around 4 or 5. For the price of this place you can't beat it...also you can go to the sister motels and use the pools and such there. we go a couple of motels down and let the kids play in the submarine, it's awesome for them. You fools on here that get mad because it's not the Ritz, go somewhere else, just makes more room for us and that more peaceful..We definitely not going to miss your whining and crying.....
I hate to say the pictures do not tell the true story of this faciltiy. It is much older, we were in room 910, had to get 2 fans from front desk, I had purchased a fan. Finally, moved to another room after 3 days, which was a down grade, no refund. Also, in all my travels, have never stayed in a hotel that does not have the ability to charge to your room. This was my major downfall of the hotel, I was traveling with teenagers. The rooms were very clean. The housekeeper, Donella, was excellant. This place is okay for families with small children. However their computer system is terrible. I hate to say, I will probably never travel back to Myrtle Beach. Will always go back to Florida.
