This is the place where Alabama first started playing. Now, another country music band performs here each night starting at around 8:30pm til closing. You need to be at least 21 to enter and there is a $3 cover charge to pay for the band. All beers are $2.50. The bar area itself is small, but there are plenty of seats around the bar with tables. For this reason, there is very little room for dancing unfortunately. This is the only country music bar located in downtown Myrtle Beach, so check it out if you're looking for some great live country music. Their sister bar, Duffy's, is located right next-door. Sometimes Duffy's has coupons allowing you to enter The Bowery for free. The bar staff is friendly!

Pros: Convenient downtown location, great live country music, cheap drinks

Cons: $3 cover charge, very small bar area, no room for dancing

A lot of fun: This is where the country group Alabama got their start! The live music is great, the beer is cheap and cold, and the staff is very nice. Always a nice crowd and the atmosphere can't be beat.

Home Of The Group Alabama: I Love going to the Bowery everytime I make it down to Myrtle Beach. A trip to Myrtle Beach would not be the same if I didn't visit.
