Sea Dip Motel and Condos

   If you have to stay at this hotel, by all means please do not get a room in the building that is attached to the office -- dingy, smelly and loud!!! I know they cannot control the other guests but we had people on the outside hallway outside our room, yelling and partying all night long.
   Interesting though, we returned from a dinner our second night and a few of our friends were a little loud getting on the elevator - security immediately stopped them and questioned them. Where were they the night before at 1:00, 3:00 and 4:00? - not telling the other people to be quiet!!!!
   We asked for a room in the "tower" for the second night and were given one. Not much better but at least a little brighter (only because of a balcony) and cleaner. However, be warned, there is only one elevator and it takes forever. Lazy river is more like a creek. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The one bright spot was the nice woman who checked us in and upon seeing my face when I told her I could not spend more than one night in the first room, was at least nice enough to find us a different room and seemed to understand how I felt.

   I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN!!! We stayed here three years ago in the old part and were happy with the room that we got. We were on a budget then so we were not expecting the Taj Mahal! We went back this year and rented a "condo" in the new tower. The brochure looked very nice and we had a better lodging budget this time around, so we were able to pay for something nicer.
   We got to the "condo" and it was nothing but a hallway! When you walked in the room the two double beds where right there. You continue down the "hallway" and the bathroom was on the left and the kitchen was on the right with only enough room for one person to walk through at a time. You then walk into the "living" area and there was a couple of chairs, a murphy bed and a TV! The patio furniture was sitting in the living area, the kitchen sink was filthy with food in it. The bathroom was smaller than the one in the old part and the flat top stoved was brown with burnt on food! The beds were as hard as a rock. You would not even get the luggage cart into the room with someone moving into the next "room".
   Oh and they waited until the took our money to tell us the elevator would be shut down from 8 am to 1 pm the following day for inspection and repair. We were on the 9th floor with two small children!!!! (Almost forgot, all the other comments about the pools are correct, they are green and smell like mildew).
   My husband went back down and asked for our money back, he was trying not to be a buzzard and told the lady at the front desk that I did not like the beds and we just wanted a refund. The rude desk clerk told him "if she wants a decent bed in this town, she'll have to go to Hampton Inn and you WILL pay a fortune there"!!! We did not go the the Hampton Inn, however we did drive down several blocks to the Tropical Seas. Again the rooms are not the Taj Mahl, but they were clean, the halls, the elevator, the lobby, the pool area were all pleasant and clean. The staff was WONDERFUL! They would hold elevators for us, they would hold doors for us when they saw us coming, they helped with the luggage cart when I was having trouble getting it over a threshold and offered to take it back in for us when we had finished loading our car.
   They were remodeling a room across the hall from us and we maybe heard them twice!
   There was a night and day difference in the two places! DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE SEA DIP!!!!!!

   STAYED AT THE "SEA DUMP" LAST YEAR,IT WAS REALLLLY BAD !!! CHECKED IN WITH A GROUP, SOME IN TOWER ROOMS, ELEVATOR BROKEN,SEVERAL CHECKED RIGHT BACK OUT,BUT LIKE FOOLS...WE STAYED.HOT WATER DRIPPED IN SHOWER ALL THE TIME ON THE HANDLES,MAKING THEM ALMOST TO HOT TO TOUCH. CORD TO COFFEE POT {WHICH YOU HAD TO STRETCH ACROSS SINK} WAS FRAYED AND YOU HAD TO WIGGLE TO GET A CONNECTION. COKE MACHINE OUTSIDE WAS NOT GROUNDED AND SHOCKED MY DAUGHTER SO BAD IT KNOCKED HER DOWN, TOLD FRONT DESK AND THEIR REPLY WAS THAT THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MACHINE. POOL WAS GREEN AND SMELLED LIKE PEE. OVERALL NASTY PLACE !!! WILL TELL EVERYONE NOT TO STAY THERE.
