User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsYes! Soby's is expensive, but that is what you pay for when it comes to quality! I have never had a bad expierence here, except that they are not open later on Sunday (only brunch, which I happen to miss every Sunday.) I entertain alot of out of town guests, and everyone has always enjoyed their meals throughly. The service has always been wonderful and the servers are always very entertaining, friendly, and helpful. I have enjoyed this restaurant probably 10 times and always ordered something different on the menu. It's always a suprise how much I enjoy everything. If you plan on having a great meal when there is a festival or something else, yes, you may receive semi bad service. BUT that is because they are busy. And busy restaurants mean that people like their food. I am sorry that some people had a bad expierence, but if you want to impress some guests to Greenville, with the atmosphere, service, and food, try Soby's!
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsWe recently went for a Sunday brunch thinking we could get a meal and a couple bloody mary's for a reasonable price. We had never been here before, and had no idea the brunch was a buffet until our waiter decided to tell us that he would bring our plates right over. Especially when your restaurant is right across the street from a hotel, you cannot assume that everyone knows it is a buffet for brunch and knows the details of it. Though the buffet food was decent, the service was very bad. It took about 10-15 minutes for the waiter to come back with our credit card. Then we come to find out that brunch for 2 people was $73 with tip (apparently they already included this although we were only a party of 2 which they I guess assumed we knew also). Granted we did each get 2 bloody mary's, but it was still a ridiculous price even if it was a buffet, considering bloody's could not have cost more then $5 (they were in small cocktail glasses) They need to have some sort of sign or menu at the tables stating what the brunch is and how much per person it is before people sit down to eat it.

My experience was not good at all. My food was at most only average if that and my service was terrible. I'll think twice before visiting again.
