I've lived in Anderson all my life and finally got around to visiting Romano's the other night. I shouldn't have waited so long! I had the veggie soup (instead of salad) and the Boursin chicken with pasta. Both were yummy. The food wasn't as pricey as I thought it would be, and there was plenty of food left for my lunch the next day. They also serve hot bread with seasoned olive oil before the meal - very good. Other people in my party ordered chicken marsala and chicken parmesan. Everyone commented how good the food was.
Our server was pleasant, helpful, and attentive. She suggested the Boursin chicken, which was a great choice.
The restaurant itself is small, but it's cozy for a nice Italian restaurant without feeling pretentious or trendy like some restaurants in Greenville. I've also recently tried the new Vincenzo's (where Capri's used to be), and there's no question - Romano's is the way to go. The food at Romano's is more authentic than DaVinci's, too.
I can't wait to go back and try a different dish.
My boss took me out for a lunch here with a few more of my co-workers. the owner bothered us the whole time with stories of the "old country"
no good. she goes by city. i'm not a fan of ethnic foods, if neither are you don't go plain and simple.
THEY HAVE THE BEST CHICKEN PHILLYS. GREAT FOOD! ALWAYS ON TOP OF THINGS. GREAT SERVICE!!!!
