We recently moved to this area and the first thing that I do when we move to a new town or travel on vacation is look for the best Bar-B-Cue and hamburger joints that I can find. I prefer Carolina Bar-B-Cue to other styles such as Texas, Memphis, Chicago, ect... I always keep an open mind , but I have become somewhat skeptical being it had been a long time since I had tasted good Bar-B-Cue. This rivals as good of Bar-B-Cue as I have ever had in all the years that I have been pursuing this. They do it right. Also, there's a big difference in sauces from ketchup based, mustard based, and vinegar based sauces. All of their sauces were amazing, original and most of all authentic. I was also blown away by their fried chicken which could have been the basis of the restaurant itself. Everything was excellent. If Bar-B-Cue, fried chicken and other southern foods that have to be prepared and cooked correctly are your thing, Mutt's is a must, you will not be disappointed. To top the experience off, the owner and staff were beyond friendly and my kids loved the train that ran the circumfrance of the ceiling. When it comes to this type of food, it's the best this area has to offer
Good BBQ!: Whether you like BBQ pork or chicken, you won't go wrong at Mutt's. You can have some good eatin' while watching their toy train go round the dining area overhead. They have great food. I especially like to go when they let our church's youth serve for a portion of the proceeds, which goes to their mission trips. Mutt's owners are nice folks, care about our community, and you just can't beat their food. DON'T FORGET TO TRY THEIR SWEET POTATO CRUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've eaten at Mutts when it opened on Hwy. 14 in Greer. I worked nearby. It's never tasted that good to me and I've tried it more than once. I prefer that my BBQ not be chopped down so small that it resembles sand. Overcooked and dry, I can't see what some people are raving about. It seems that many people around here like it that way. I have teeth and would rather do my own chewing.
Three Pigs is a much better choice, but even as good as that is, it's not comparable to the Great BBQ you can find in most roadside Taverns in and near Kansas City, Missouri, or Memphis Tn., for that matter.

I went Wrong at Mutt's. I ate there. Dry and over-chopped plus the sides were so-so. I was so disappointed, I forgot to try their sweet potato crunch. However I have doubts that it would be worth trying.
