Steer clear of Stokes-Trainor Ford service unless all you need is an oil change because beyond that they are useless. Took my car there, a 1998 Mercury Tracer, because I was having some issues with stalling and acceleration. Clearly symtoms that would indicate a problem with the fuel delivery system. After their diagnostics they found $572 worth of repairs needed to correct the problem, unfortunately I paid the bill and the problems were still there. So I took the car back and they decide there was now another issue showing on their diagnostics that needs to be addressed. Remember it didn't show up the first time around so how dependable are their diagnostic methods. I had that part replace at an additional cost, another $50 dollars, and still the problem remains. Took the car back again dropped it off and they call me the next day to tell me the fuel pump is failing. Now, how they managed to totally miss that component in their diagnostics based on the symtoms they were given baffles me. But to add insult to injury they quote a price of $628 for the part only no labor and that was 3 times what the part would cost retail. These people are clearly crooks hang on to your wallets and take your car to a real and honest mechanic who can diagnose and repair your car.
