Shrimp Boat

very greasy chicken. better wear a bib or be ready to buy a new shirt.the grease does drip out.a better meal comes from Lees Famous Recipe on cherry road.

This was my first visit to the Shrimp Boat in more than 20 years. I went specifically for the chicken which was supposed to be the best. The last time I was there I got a two breast dinner and it was so hot I burned myself trying to eat it. Now, I know better and can wait for it to cool.

This is real fried chicken. Not that stuff they have at KFC of Bojangles, Pop-Eye’s, etc…
It’s a real, recognisable part of the chicken. They say they aint no chicken like Shrimp Boat chicken, and I’d agree. It’s the real deal, and it’s very good, however, it must be the ‘best’ in Rock Hill, because Price’s Chicken Coop in Charlotte is much better. The best in the US is supposed to be some joint in Savannah or NOLA, but I aint gonna drive that far just to find out.

For local, real deal fried chicken, you cant go wrong with the Shrimp Boat. If there is any better in Rock Hill or Fort Mill, I'd like to know where it is.

Decent food, decent prices. I've been before and actually had them leave the bones INSIDE my fried fish. Nothing that would kill someone, just something to look out for.
