I agree with the review by "mom" above. Now looking back at it, I too should have known something was fishy when they had openings available. My son was in the 6-12 month room and we had many issues with them. First, they made a stink about feeding my son breakfast ( I have to be at work at 7 and my husband at 8 so we don't have the time). He normally eats around 8:30 to 9 and the one day they didn't feed him breakfast. My son also averaged about 15 min. to a 45 min. nap every day so when he got home he was so tired he was just screaming and you coudn't do anything for him. I understand that a baby won't nap the best at daycare but I often wondered what was going on that he couldn't relax for more than 15 min. One of the daycare workers had a bad attitude, didn't look like she wanted to be there, and would get snappy if you would address certain issues with her. They CONSTANTLY had new people in and out of the baby room so nobody knew what they were doing or how to care for my son. Also, when my husband addressed an issue with one of the daycare workers another staff member standing by interrupted and said to my husband "why don' t I do your job today and you stay and do mine". As a first time mom I found this daycare very frustrating and disappointing and for all the money that you give them every month my son received subpar care which in the end made me question the integrity of the owner.

When I first arrived at this daycare I was so impressed by the securit measures they took, with the thumb print system and the process of check in and check out. And I thought the owners and workers were Christians so this was an extra plus, however after a couple of weeks I found this not to be true. Their workers smoke cigarettes outside of the school, but they forget to wash their hands when they come back in. I paid for a full month but my daughter only went three times before I had to pull her out. They do not have enough workers to monitor the children correctly, and this leads to children getting bitten, hit, and/or hurt. This daycare is between my home and job, but I rather drive a little out of my way and kknow that my child is being watched correctly then to pick up my child with bruises. The workers there even admitted to me that its too much for them to handle, yet the owner, debra(i believe) refuses to do any thing about it. I would choose another provider if you don't want your children to hate the idea of scchool. The three days that my daughter did go the other children cried to leave also and they didnt know me. Almost forgot to mention the fact that they have a no yelling at the children policy, that they do not follow @ all. The last two times my daughter went there when I walked in the caretaker was yelling and belittling the children.

I have to strongly disagree with the other reviews. Having worked in public schools and in Special needs classrooms for 4 years I know a bit about teacher to student ratios and not ever seen them blenty disregard the requirements. I have my child our friends child and my niece all at Lowcountry Day and they have been nothing but wonderful. I have personally seen the owner in the classrooms covering for people if they have had to leave sitting on the floor with the kids reading, playing or feeding. She always knows every child's name and speaks to them. And as far as only caring about money believe me that is defenatly not true either. It is also the cleanest daycare in Bluffton and Hilton Head which I went to each one personally when I was looking to put my child in daycare.
