Pizza may be great, but entrees need some help!
I went based on feedback from a friend. Maybe this was a bad night, but my meal and service were not up to par. The rolls were stale and did not have a good flavor. The chicken piccata sat in a soggy pile of vegetables (a simple angel food pasta would have been a better bed) and the salad was horrible, the vegetables were on the verge of going bad. The waiter barely said 2 words, the person that brought our drinks actually took our order. The inside of the resturant is quite lovely. It is a shame that they couldn't spend more time on perfecting their dinner entrees. If a restuarant has a good bread, people will come. Please make improvements, because I want to come back!
I agree..Ray's isn't all that..It is average pizza and is overpriced. I just moved here from Los Angeles, so any pizza will be better than out there..but Ray's just didn't cut it. They also undercooked it..the cheese and sauce was sliding all over the place...I'm gonna try Mama's next...
Ray's WAS the undisputed best pizza in Atlanta ---- When they first opened! They USED to be over-generous on the toppings on the pizza and everything was sooooo fresh!! BUT.. the tide has turned and now they have fallen into the pit of "stingy-is-cheaper" and they have forced me to write this review.
----Skimpy toppings.., slow service.., over-priced...
its sad really., because they were the BEST.. oh well, that was a long time ago.
