Great Spot for Lunch
Hudsonâs is a terrific place for lunch. The lunch offers a large variety of choices. Blackened shrimp or oysters sandwiches, salads, steamed shrimp, crab cakes, burgers, etc. The portions are generous and the service is wonderful. It was a great place for me and my girlfriends to have a late lunch and take a break from the beach. Getting in our car to drive there was well worth it and I would recommend this as a lunch spot to anyone.
Best Seafood, View & Service!
Such an amazing experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is cozy and clean. I recommend sitting in the oyster bar to start...a couple oysters and a cocktail and then sitting down at a table for dinner. My husband and I had a nice bottle of wine --great wine selection and watched the sunset over the water. It was wonderful.
The food was equally as amazing as the view. We had the pan blackened scallops with a thai chili glaze for an app. It was delicious! The stuffed shrimp was fantastic and my husband's grouper was the freshest I've ever tasted!
I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone! We will be back!
After being burnt by The Crazy Crab, and coming away unimpressed by the hype that was The Salty Dog Cafe, I was a bit precarious. So when I heard good things about this place from several mainlanders I didn't get too excited and figured I'd reserve my judgment. Hudson's did not disappoint at all. In fact the entire experience was very good.
The seafood was fresh, unlike a certain other aforementioned restaurant. There is a wonderful appetizer for people like me who "Can't Decide". The She Crab soup was good, probably the best I had in any restaurant in Hilton Head. Despite them being busy it didn't take long at all to get a seat, and it was a window seat with a wonderful view. Our waitress was courteous and attentive to our needs. I just have nothing bad to say about this place. I flirted with giving it 5 stars but to me they are reserved for the top 1% of dining experiences. I don't hand them out lightly. For me to even consider doing such shows how wonderful of an experience I had at Hudson's on the Docks.
Two other notes:
There is a tiny video arcade outside. It's just a small trailer. There is an old Ms. Pac-Man machine, an original Golden Tee and a few other games. I went in just too look around and ended up spending about 20 minutes and several quarters. It was good for a nice dose of nostalgia, which is never a bad thing.
There was also a clown named "Lollipop" on certain days. I'm not sure if she's still there or not. She was very nice and very good with kids. She would make animal balloons and whatnot.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
