The Mustard Seed has been sold, although I believe under another name. Last heard was that owner and chef Laurie was opening a new restaurant in Canton called Partake, scheduled to open in May or June 2009.

Excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere make Chef Laurie's place something special. You get to bring your own wine....don't forget. Everything is fresh and often from local farmers or organic markets. Its fine dinning that is not over done. (Meaning home cooking with some real skill added) Relaxed, Fun and Chef Laurie is always there to talk about how each item was prepared.

    Enjoy,

    Mike Miller

A delightful evening!. The food was amazing and the atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. We conversed with people at the next table- local residents who were eager to tell us about Ball Ground and its history - as if we were at a dinner party in a friend's home. The menu included two fish entrees - both delicious (I know, I tasted everything!) as well as a perfect filet, and chicken dish. Entrees are served with a salad, rice or potato and wonderful fresh vegetables. We tried the corn chowder and a friend had the roasted red pepper soup- both exceptional. Bring your own wine- they will open it and have wine glasses available. Once a week there is a prix fix dinner- I can't wait to try. There are cooking classes available also. Its a beautiful drive- about 45 minutes north of the Atlanta perimeter.
